House of Noodles - Episode 2

Carol and I went there again on Tuesday night. This time round we ordered:

Bran Dough(item 36): this is absolutely delicious. I'm usually pretty critical of food when I'm eating out. But, this is VERY VERY GOOD! Best I've ever had out side of China. I gotta take my mom and dad to there.

Rice Cake cooked on Barrel(item 191): Not sure how to describe this, it's not "rice cake" rice cake, but just some rice pressed into a bamboo(?) barrel and cooked. The only reason I see it gets called a "rice cake", it's in the shape of muffin. Topped with some slight spicy and sweet sauce, and a bit of pork fluff. Tastes OK.

Deep fried Stinky Tofu(item 196): I can't believe I let Carol ordered it!!! OMG, it's very stinky..., no wonder it's called stinky tofu... I took a tiny bite too, between 2 of us, we didn't even eat half a piece(came in 9 tiny pieces). We had to had it taken away after a short while - couldn't stand the smell. The server and the chef had a good laugh at us...

Green Chive Cake(item 132): very yummy. Green chive with fried egg and rice thin noodle stuffing. Cake is lightly fried/baked outside.

Little Steamed Buns stuffed with pork(item 136): all I can say is it's better than the place in Cupertino Village.

Spicy Sauce Wonton(item 138): OK I guess, what made this stand out is it's served dry - not in a bowl of soup, and topped with chili oil.

Great place, it's like Chinese tapas.
